Update: June 2009
The last day of May was a beautiful day and I spent some time in the Victory Garden weeding and setting up my Tomato tower and cages. Because I cultivated using the tiller last week when it was dry there were not many weeds to pull. I pulled the ones near the plants that I missed with the tiller and because the ground was moist they came up with ease. I needed to thin, but ran out of time since the big garden needed attention too. Oh well there is always tomorrow. Here are a few photos.

| The Garden is doing fine with the rain we just had. | The lettuce is up, a few bare spots but not bad. |
| The Beans are up and doing well. | Squash came up fine as well. |
| The Tomatoes are about 1 ½ feet tall with blossoms. | The peppers are about 8 inches tall now. |
| | |
| I elected to steak the tomatoes now before I forget. | I used my traditional homemade Cages for most of the tomatoes. |
| | |
| With one tomato I tried the “Tomato Tower” sold by Gurneys.com. | |
